Welcome to the New McDowell LFAC
Rooted in community. Growing toward the future.
Our New Brand: A House Built Together
Each of our programs has its own personality and purpose, but they’re all part of one strong, connected family.
We now share the same design system, logo family, and voice— so it’s easier for the community to find and trust everything we do.
This rebrand isn’t about a trend, it’s about building a clearer, more welcoming path to the work we’re already doing together.
We listened to our partners. We thought about our neighbors. We envisioned a future where local food is celebrated, shared, and supported by everyone.
And we’re so proud of what’s next.
You’ll notice a new look across our website, social media, signage, and materials including a fresh logo and updated color palette.
But our mission hasn’t changed.
What’s New and What’s Not
We are still:
Local – deeply rooted in McDowell County
Collaborative – bringing farmers, nonprofits, and neighbors together
Equitable – working to ensure everyone has access to good food
Committed – to local solutions that nourish our entire community
Why the Change?
For years, McDowell Local Food Advisory Council (LFAC) has worked to create a thriving, just, and resilient food system. As we've grown adding programs like the Foothills Food Hub, Marion Tailgate Market, and Ready, Set, Grow! we realized something important:
We needed a visual identity that better reflects who we are, what we do, and how all of our programs connect.
This rebrand helps us:
Show up as a unified voice for food justice in McDowell County
Help our community recognize the full range of what we offer
Make it easier to partner with us, support us, and grow with us
